CHAPTER ELEVEN

TARA

I wake to screaming then all hell breaks loose. Colton goes to check on everything while I stay in bed. I can hear Jaxson and Teddy arguing about Ruby. It must have been her screaming. I don’t think Jaxson hurt her like Teddy clearly does. I can tell Ruby has a secret she is holding on to. She is the nicest person I have met in this industry so far. Well, other than Dave, our bus driver.

“What the hell did he do to you?” Teddy asks Ruby, seething mad.

“Nothing, Teddy. You should go,” Ruby says, sounding upset like she is crying now.

“Bullshit, Ruby. Tell me now,” Teddy yells loud enough for everyone on the bus to hear him now.

“Teddy, get the hell out of my room,” Jaxson demands as Ian, Hendrix and Colton enter the small room, too.

“I’m not leaving until she talks. Maybe you should leave Jaxson,” Teddy yells at Jaxson then I can hear shoving.

“Fuck you, Teddy! Maybe if she wasn’t so afraid of you, she would tell you,” Jaxson says.

“Is that right, Jaxson? So, Ruby is afraid of me now? Fuck you. Ruby, what is he talking about?” Teddy asks her directly now.

“It’s nothing, Teddy. Just a nightmare that’s all,” Ruby says, trying to sound convincing.

“Yeah, Ruby, what the hell is pretty boy talking about?” Ian asks Ruby.

“Is everything okay here?” Colton asks everyone.

“It was just a nightmare everyone. I am truly sorry, but I get them sometimes when I am stressed. Please go back to sleep or to whatever y'all were doing,” Ruby says it more convincingly this time.

“Okay, Ruby. Let's give her some space then, boys,” Colton says, waiting for everyone to leave the room.

“Fine, but Ruby, we will be talking about this later,” Teddy says before he exits the bedroom with Ian, Hendrix, and Colton behind him. Then I can hear the door close.

The guys all go into the small living room area to talk. I decide now is a good time to go change in the bathroom before I go make us coffee, because I can’t go back to sleep now. Besides, it’s like 8:00 a.m. anyways. I am almost done dressing when Miley sneaks into the bathroom, too.

“Sorry girl, but you are taking forever, and I got to piss like crazy,” Miley says, going straight to the toilet, dropping her pants without any shame.

“Woman, I’ve only been in here for like five minutes,” I tell her, buttoning my jeans.

“Whatever, you were eavesdropping in here anyways,” Miley said like she caught me doing it.

“Not really, but shh, so we can hear them,” I tell her. Miley nods her head and finishes on the toilet and quickly washes her hands before we lean closer to the door to eavesdrop on the guys.

“What the fuck was he talking about in there? Why would Ruby be afraid of Teddy?” Hendrix asks the room.

“Yeah, Teddy, what did you do?” Ian asks Teddy.

“Nothing! I did nothing to her! Fuck you guys! You know that I would never hurt her.
